For several decades I have watched Ted Thomas make money using tax liens and tax deeds. I have talked Ted into doing a four-video tutorial for us. This email will give you the link to the first of the four videos. I have been interested in the concept of the tax liens and tax deeds for a
long time, so I am excited to learn myself. This is something I think I could do during COVID-19. It’s certainly a tool you should at least learn something about.
If you don’t know Ted, you’re in for a real treat. I have spoken at every one of his events for over 20 years. Actually, for more than 25 years, he’s been the go-to guy in this country for the tax lien/deed money making opportunities. Tax liens and tax deeds are a unique type of
investment that is safer than any CD and pays 16%, 18% and, in some cases, 24% (or more) interest per year. Each state sets the rate of interest they will pay, and the state government guarantees the payment of the interest. This type of investment is very secure, because for more than 200 years it’s been backed by every county government in the United States. In fact, they rely on this whole process for a chunk of their revenue.
Learning the tax system doesn’t tie you down to any one place. Every state and every county hold tax sales that you can access on the internet. I attended a tax sale on the county courthouse steps 30 years ago, just to see what it was. The lot next door to my brother’s house went up for pennies on
the dollar. I didn’t buy it because I was afraid and didn’t know that to do. I have kicked myself ever since because I didn’t act. I’ve always thought, “Someday I will learn the ropes.” Ted has always encouraged me, but I didn’t have time. With COVID-19, I have time.
You can invest using an LLC or in your own name. You can even roll it into your self-directed IRA if you want. I have helped hundreds of Ted’s students set up LLCs to get going.
You’re probably skeptical. I know I was the first time I heard about 18% interest. But, I have watched it for years, and it’s true.
