Ok, I made a mistake. (First one ever.) The email sent to introduce the all-day event Ted Thomas is going to do for my students said that the event was free. We actually did one of these
events in the middle of 2020, and I have had a lot of students ask when we were doing another one. So, we are doing another one on April 17th.
The problem is Ted decided to charge $47 for this event, and it isn’t free. I made the mistake by not editing the email I sent out well enough and did not make the change from free to $47. Part of the issue is a lot of people signed up last year, and only about 50% showed up. If you charge for an event, the people who pay have a lot better chance of actually
attending.
Here’s the deal. I will be sending out another follow up email (probably tomorrow or Wednesday) to further explain what Ted will be doing on the 17th. For the folks that sign up for the event before I send out the next email with the proper information, AND they attend the day-long event on the 17th, I will personally refund their $47. The next email that goes
out talking about the event will show that it is $47. People who sign up after that email goes out will not be refunded their $47 attendance fee.
I think that is all fair. I apologize for the mistake. I certainly didn’t intend to mislead anyone. I don’t have unhappy students, so I will do what I need to do to make it right with everyone.
If you don’t have the mistaken email, here’s the link to sign up. https://TedThomas.com/LeePhillips Pay the $47, and I will reimburse you after you attend.
