Round Two of the PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) is scheduled to start tomorrow for some lenders. PPP round 2 will start soon for the “general public” aka the folks who don’t have special connections for first-draw loans with certain lenders that
reach underserved communities. The portal will open Wednesday (January 13) to get the new PPP loans open for second-draw loans for those certain lenders (including Community Development Financial Institutions [CDFIs], Minority Depository Institutions [MDIs], Certified Development Companies [CDCs] and Microloan Intermediaries). The SBA has announced it will soon open the portal for all other
participating lenders (those that the rest of all of us use), but we don’t know exactly when the SBA will thus make the loans available to us – the extraordinary ordinary small businesses.
We may not know when we can all jump in, but we do know what needs to be done to get ready. Ben and I have made a YouTube video that will help you know what to expect. Let’s keep your business afloat
with whatever government help we can get. You’re going to pay for it in the end, so you may as well get your share upfront.

P.S. There are still a few seats left for our two-day Virtual Boot Camp coming up January 22-23. The registration deadline is this Thursday. You’ll have to REGISTER by then. I limit the number of participants because I still do one-on-one consultations with everybody, and I can’t take the time to do to many of those one-on-one sessions. The virtual boot camp is a lot cheaper and more convenient than the live boot camps,
but I love the live events and will go back to them ASAP.
