Can I Have a Self-Settled Trust?

Published: Tue, 08/02/16

Hi

Government doesn't like people to escape their creditors. Therefore, it is generally against public policy to allow self-settled trusts--irrevocable trusts where you are both the person setting it up and the beneficiary.

There are a few exceptions, and they can be very useful for asset protection. Learn more about where and how they can be used in my YouTube video to the right and my latest article at http://www.legalees.com/self-settled-trusts/.
