It is very important for an LLC to issue membership certificates to any and all owners soon after forming as a company. As I explain in the video to the right, this is part of how you prove that your company is, in fact, a
company.

http://www.llcwizard.com/issuing-membership-certificates. Decades ago, stock and membership certificates often had fancy borders, calligraphy and seals on expensive paper. While it may be fun to dress it up, the content on the certificate
and recorded on the ledger is more important. Even if you are the only owner, this will show that you are treating your company like a real company and not your alter ego.
