Hi
Maximizing your Social Security can make a big difference in how much money you get when your time comes. Mike Stevens has been dispensing great advice at the last number of our Boot Camps and just had an
article on Social Security planning published on Fortune.com.
I recommend reading the full article
here or on my blog at legalees.com, but the three solid points he makes are as follows:
- Wait
to start receiving Social Security benefits--you get more if you start later.
- Keep Social Security taxes in mind--it doesn't help to get the benefit if a large portion is taken back by taxes.
- Don't double down--you can be eligible for more than one benefit, and since you can't collect two at once, you may benefit by collecting one early while letting the other grow.
Make sure you get the most out of your Social Security. You've paid into it for years and
deserve all you are entitled to.

P.S. There are very few spots left in my Boot Camp in Orlando on February 22 & 23 (October's filled months ago). You can get one of them if you hurry and register
here.
We have just booked the Hilton Garden Inn at the Orlando Airport, and the room is limited to only 30 people, including staff. That means our 12 couple limit is a hard stop. Yes, these are small one-on-one type experiences.
